Teaching methods
Lesson and exercises at individual and small group level.
Assessment methods
The principal learning outcomes that will be assessed are:
- knowledge of the main biochemical processes of environmental interest
The final grade will be composed of a written test on multiple choice questions and one/ two open-ended questions on the following main issues:
- Macromolecules (Aminoacids an proteins, protein structure, enzymes carbohydrates, lipids an biological membranes, nucleotides and coenzymes)
- Metabolism (Enzyme kinetics, oxygen transport, metabolism of carbohydrates: glycolisis, pentose phosphate pathway, citrate cycle (Krebs cycle), pyruvate)
- Metabolism (Oxydative phosphorilation, photosynthesis, fatty acids beta oxydation, nitrogen metabolism)
A test in progress is planned and it will be composed of a written test on multiple choice questions and one/two open-ended questio
This teaching is part of an Integrated Course, the final grade will be proportional to the CFU of each teaching:
65951 - BIOCHIMICA 6 CFU 50%
65952 - FISIOLOGIA 6 CFU 50%
Being this an Integrated Course the verbalizing teacher if Prof. Elena Fabbri.
