The first step is to draft your Learning Agreement. This document is mandatory for Erasmus+ students and may be optional for others.
The Learning Agreement is the study plan agreed with your university, which undertakes to recognise the exams passed and the credits obtained during the exchange period, and the exchange coordinator at the University of Bologna. The form is provided by your university.
Find out the available course units.
If you want to carry out an internship you have to check in advance if it is possible: find the degree programmes of the subject areas of your interest, read the information on the related web sites (studying > curricular internship) and contact the relevant offices. For some degree programmes the information may be available only in Italian.
Contact the International mobility offices to check your options and notify them immediately if you wish to carry out an internship.
Your Learning Agreement must be approved and signed by your university and the University of Bologna before the start of your mobility, if required by your home university, or immediately at the start of your mobility at the University of Bologna.
If your mobility programme does not require a signed Learning Agreement, you must still submit the list of course units you plan to attend during your mobility to the International Mobility Office.
Digital Learning Agreement via Erasmus Without Paper
If you are carrying out your mobility under the Erasmus+ programme, the University of Bologna can manage the Digital Learning Agreement (DLA) with the exchange of data via Erasmus Without Paper (EWP).
Contact your home university and check whether you can manage the DLA via EWP.
The instructions for sending your DLA via EWP are provided directly by your home university. You will need to use your home university credentials. You cannot use @studio.unibo.it credentials at this stage.
The Unibo International Mobility Office of your field of study or Campus will automatically receive your DLA for verification.
If approved, this will be sent to the online platform of your home university.
In case of refusal, you will be notified via email with the reasons, you will have to make the required changes to the DLA and repeat the procedure.
The reference office for your Learning Agreement is that of your field of study, or of the campus to which you are assigned: International Mobility Office.
Learning Agreement via AlmaRM
If you are carrying out your mobility within the Erasmus+ programmes, (if your university does not manage the LA via EWP), Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM), Swiss European Mobility, Overseas (a Unibo programme), you can manage your LA via AlmaRM.
Fill in your LA using the form provided by your university or by downloading the template from the European Commission website.
Log in to AlmaRM with your @studio.unibo.it credentials.
Upload your Learning Agreement in pdf format to your personal AlmaRM page, directly at the online registration or later, in order to get it approved.
The LA will be verified by the competent Unibo office.
If approved, it will be signed, you will be notified via email to your @studio.unibo.it mailbox and you will be able to download it in pdf format via AlmaRM.
In case of refusal, you will be notified via email to your @studio.unibo.it with the reasons, you will have to make the required changes and repeat the procedure.
If you are carrying out your mobility within other programmes and cannot use AlmaRM, you must submit your LA in pdf format via email.
The reference office for your Learning Agreement is that of your field of study, or of the campus to which you are assigned: International Mobility Office.
Approval of the study plan if the LA is not mandatory
If your mobility programme does not require a Learning Agreement, you must still send via email the list of course units you plan to attend during your mobility for verification.
The reference office is that of your field of study, or of the campus to which you are assigned: International Mobility Office.
The approval is required to verify that the course units you have chosen are available and therefore allow you to attend classes and take exams.
