Learning outcomes

The seminar aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in international moot court competitions, with specific regard to the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and the Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition. Participants will gain insights into the international procedural law, legal argumentation and oral advocacy. The seminar will cover relevant case law, legal research techniques, and strategies for effective presentation in a moot court setting. Additionally, participants will explore the cultural and diplomatic aspects of these competitions, enhancing their overall understanding of global legal practice

Course contents

The seminar will cover relevant case law, legal research techniques, and strategies for effective presentation in a moot court setting, instrumental to participating to the Jessup and Nelson Mandel Moot Court Competition.

Additionally, participants will explore the cultural and diplomatic aspects of these competitions, enhancing their overall understanding of global legal practice.

Participation is limited to students being part of the relevant moot court competition teams.
