Learning outcomes
At the end of the course of Human Anatomy the student has a preparation that allows him to be able to recognize the structures of the stomatognathic apparatus the morphofunctional organization of all the apparatuses of the human body. In particular: to know the topographic relationship between organs and odontostomatological structures; To know in depth the macroscopic and microscopic anatomy of the buccal cavity; To recognize the structures and topography of osteoarticular components of the skull, with particular reference and attention to the mandibular tempura joint; Know in detail the insertion and function of masticatory and mimic muscles; Recognize the component structures of the buccal cavity such as the walls and the adjoining contents; To know the descriptive and topographical anatomy of the salivary glands and possible pathological processes; To know the organization of the central nervous system with particular reference to the peripheral system aimed at odontostomatological structures; To know the organization of apparatuses and systems of the human body examined under a systematic profile, topography and function.

Teaching methods
Lectures with extensive use of images, such as to facilitate the acquisition of fundamental anatomical basis through the stimulation of visual memory. The course is divided into a series of lectures which are accompanied by practical exercises. The teachers will conduct workshops dissection of corpses.
Assessment methods
Oral interview, the student must demonstrate acquired knowledge of systematic and topographical anatomy of the various organs.
The result is graduated from 18/30 to 30/30. The minimum grade is achieved by a non-thorough knowledge of the subject, 19 to 25 for a fair knowledge, 26 to 29 for a good knowledge, while 30 represents a great knowledge and "cum laude" is added in case of excellence.
The result is integrated with the Histology Course. The final evaluation takes into account the grades of the entire Integrated Course.
Teaching tools
Lectures using computer presentations, laboratory dissection, models and computer programs.
