Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student possesses the knowledge relating to taking care of the child and his family in the context of priority health problems in the maternal and child area, with particular regard to the preventive and educational aspects. Identifies, plans and evaluates assistance interventions and collaborates with other professional figures in diagnostic-therapeutic paths and educational projects.

Course contents

During the lessons some welfare aspects of the different stages of the developmental age will be taken into consideration: management and treatment of the newborn in the NICU management and treatment of pediatric emergency room access hospitalization in childhood nursing care of the most frequent pediatric pathologies (jaundice, hypoglycemia, gastroenteritis, bronchiolitis, fever, convulsions) new health demands of the developmental age: situations of abuse, eating disorders.
