Learning outcomes

Knowledge and skills to be acquired. At the end of the training activities, the student possesses knowledge that complements and supplements the contents of the lectures on care/educational/organisational aspects of specific and/or particular interest in ensuring safe care.

Course contents

Acquire the technical, relational and methodological skills foreseen by the Professional Profile of the Nurse and related to the theoretical contents foreseen for the course year.

Through the specific objectives it is intended to develop:

  • methodological skills in the application of the nursing discipline's own method according to reference models used in the proposed experiences
  • competences in the approach to person/caregiver education
  • reflective and critical thinking skills connecting theoretical contents and clinical experience
  • awareness of scientific motivations underlying the nursing act also of a technical-professional nature
  • competences in team work with a special orientation towards confrontation
  • relational competence towards the person and the family

Throughout the entire training the aim is to develop a sensitivity and an attitude marked by the values expressed in the Nurses' Code of Ethics.

Deepening content of particular interest and relevance to clinical practice and related to the theoretical content planned for the course year.

With regard to SEMINARS, the topics proposed are:

  • Prevention of Care-Related Infections
  • Standard precautions (Hand washing, correct use of PPE, Disinfection and sterilisation...)
  • Urinary infectious risks
  • Vascular infectious risks
  • Good practices in hospital linen and waste management

Further in-depth contents concern:

  • safety training on specific high risks (Dlsg 81/08 residual part: RSPPA in every company)

Assessment methods

The content of the laboratories/seminars will be assessed in terms of "paas/fail" as set out in the Study Course Regulations by means of a written test in quiz format with 30 multiple-choice questions.

The test result will be considered sufficient with a score of 18 out of 30.
