Learning outcomes
At the end of the module, the student possesses knowledge, to the extent of his/her competence, relating to healthcare activities in the field of physiopathology and medical semeiotics of adult and geriatrics.
Course contents
Pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract:
- General semiotics
- diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation
- chronic inflammatory intestinal diseases
- Fever: classification and monitoring
Pathologies of the hepatobiliary-pancreatic tract:
- jaundice and ascites
- acute and chronic liver failure
Hematological disorders
- anemias
Endocrinological pathologies
- thyroid diseases
- diabetes
- hyperglycemic crises
- ketoacidotic coma
Water, electrolytes, edema and effusions
The framework: how the diagnosis is made with the help of simulated clinical cases
