Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student has acquired knowledge relating to the anatomy, histology and pathophysiology of the muscle fascia. Acquires palpatory evaluation skills of myofascial tissues and is able to detect and treat the presence of fascial alterations
Course contents
The anatomy of fascial architecture
Fascia as an essential element of muscular activity
The anatomical structure of the fascial planes
The identification of the Myofascial Unit
The histology of dense connective tissue and its components
The protective, mechanical and chemical function of dense connective tissue
The significance of TCD alterations
Evaluation and treatment of the patient in Fascial Manipulation: The anamnestic collection
The formulation of hypotheses
Motor evaluation
Palpatory evaluation
The treatment
A first theoretical introductory part will be carried out, although as interactive as possible between teacher and students, in order to make the comparison with the notions learned during the C.d.L. more effective.
A substantial practical part will then be carried out, with the treatment of a clinical case in a plenary session and related discussion, and a palpatory experience of all the students on alterations found in the various participants of the class group.
