Course contents

Program

The laboratory provides methodologies and strategies to analyze the different usage of technologies in educational contexts. Starting from different online content, including digital books, methods will be provided to analyze their characteristics and the formats they assume within digital editorial productions and for online training.

In particular, the crucial elements in the design of the content will be analyzed, in order to highlight the relationships that exist between technological solutions, didactic models, characteristics of the materials and contexts of application.

The applicative laboratory is based on a didactic that integrates live interventions along with papers and exercises in subgroups. The work carried out will be presented and discussed in plenary at a later stage.

Contents of the course

The main topics of the workshop are:

1. The different types of digital resources: connotations and applications in teaching.

2. The features of digital content: relationships between strategies, content and targets

3. Analysis of online teaching / learning environments: how to proceed and which elements are to be considered.

4. Analysis of training applications in the educational and socio-health fields

5. Analysis of digital books

The laboratory aims to provide the required knowledge to analyze and choose online content useful for the activities of educators. It will also be an opportunity to acquire those general elements that concern the design of online content in different formats (digital books, classes in video format, etc.). Eventually, it will be possible to apply the topics discussed during the laboratory through practical exercises and the creation of the final paper.

Teaching methods

The applicative laboratory is based on active teaching that integrates live interventions together with papers and practical exercises to be carried out in subgroups partly during the meetings and to be completed with individual study through the preparation of papers. The presentation and discussion in plenary of the works will be foreseen.

Assessment methods

The laboratory has no degree, but "suitability".

Each laboratory consists of 3 ECTS: with 24 hours of attendance (8 hours for each ECTS) and 51 hours of individual study (each ECTS is 25 hours).

To obtain the "Eligibility" (final assessment) students must attend the 24 hours (with active participation) and submit the final report of the assigned works.
