Learning outcomes
The programme provides students with an introduction to Legislation on Cultural Heritage and environmental management in a a national and international framework, with references to international organizations and conventions like UNESCO.
By the end of the course, students are expected to have greatly enhanced knowledge of Cultural Heritage and Environmental Law and a comprehensive understanding of current issues such as climate changesCourse contents
- Environmental law section:
- The convention of Montego Bay (19822) on the law of the sea.
- The convention of Barcellona (1976) for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea Against Pollution.
- The climate change problem; the Paris Agreement (2015) and his implementation in Europe; The packet "fit for 55"; the climate refugees.
- Cultural Heritage law section:
- The code of cultural heritage and landscape (d.lgs. n. 42 del 2004) and his most important principles.
- The Ministry of the culture.
- the Unesco convention concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (1972).
- The Unesco Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangibile Cultural Heritage (2003).
- The Council of Europe Framework Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society (2005).
