Learning outcomes
At the end of lessons the students have knowledge and capacity to know the pathologies of: pregnancy, birth and post-birth and they are able to know the care process in respect of pathologies and emergencies/urgencies.
Course contents
Pathology of pregnancy: assessment, pianification and realization.
Care process of the midwife for pregnant women, for women during post-partum and for the newborns.
Obstetric care for dystocic bith: vaginal delivery.
Formulation of obstetric dianosis.
Care process of dystocic dynamichs: cervical dystocia, hypotonia and hypertonia.
Assistance during Operation room, neonatal care bed, post-operation phase and other complications.
Missed afterbirth and incomplete afterbirth.
Abnormally adherent placenta (placenta adherent or creta) , abnormally invasive placenta (increta) and abnormally invasive placenta (percreta).
Obstetric assistance during mechanical dystocia: fetal pelvic sporportion, missed engagement of presented portion, break of uterus.
Obstetric assistance during fetal dystocia: (presentations: sacral, bragmatic, frontal, face, podalic, shoulder).
Shoulder dystocia.
Funicular procidence and prolapse.
Placenta previa.
DIPNI
Post-partum hemorrhage.
Metrorrhagia, hematoma and lacerations of different grade
