Academic Year 2024/2025

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Forli
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in International relations and diplomatic affairs (cod. 8048)

Learning outcomes

The aim of the workshop is to refine the ability to write articles of different types and degree of specialization, with particular attention to the formal and structural aspects of the paper, as well as its communicative effectiveness and critical soundness. At the end of the lab the student has acquired the skills to write summaries of research reports, reviews, popular science texts and essays for specialized journals.

Course contents

In the first part of the workshop, the lecturer will illustrate how to structure and write an academic article (scientific publication or research report). At the same time, some published articles in the field of economic geography and regional sciences will be illustrated, with the aim of providing an essential bibliography through which students will write an article based on an original research question.

After the scheduled lectures at the beginning of the workshop and before the submission of the final paper, students will agree with the lecturer the topic to be covered in the paper and the related research question. All students have to present the preliminary results of their work in class before the submission of the final paper.
