Learning outcomes
Acquire the knowledge and the ability to understand the application of Doppler Ultrasound echocardiography.
Course contents
Pathophysiology of acute and chronic coronary syndromes, diagnosis and treatment.
Pathophysiology of the main cardiac valvular diseases, diagnosis and therapy.
Atherosclerotic cerebrovascular disease, clinical manifestations, pathophysiology, therapy.
Teaching methods
Frontal lessons. Consultation of echocardiographic and angiographic image archives. Interaction (with questions and answers) with the students during the lessons to verify understanding of the topics covered.

Power-point presentations, visualization of diagnostic tests (transthoracic and trans-esophageal color Doppler echocardiograms) and interventional cardiology procedures from local PACS
