Course contents

The Autonomic laboratory structure

Heart Rate Monitoring: From ECG to RR interval. Data acquisition hardware and software

Noninvasive method of measuring blood pressure: Beat to Beat blood pressure recording.

Patient interaction: clinical history

Cardiovascular reflex: test procedures, recording techniques analysis Results of the tests for normal and pathological subjects.

Measurement of heart rate variability: Time and Frequency domain methods;

Tilt table test patterns: Different forms of orthostatic intolerance. Reflex syncope, i.e. orthostatic vasovagal syncope. Orthostatic Hypotension. Postural Tachycardia Syndrome.

Circadian Rhythm of Body Core Temperature (BcT), blood pressure and heart rate: monitoring and data acquisition hardware and software
