82985 - Integration of Health Promotion and Preventive Systems

Learning outcomes

Know and develop synergies between the health professions of prevention and health care. Strengthen technical, organizational and managerial skills to respond with an integrated approach to the health problems of individuals and communities in the places of life and work at different ages. Provide tools to plan, design and evaluate health prevention and promotion interventions in life and work contexts using data deriving from information flows from the workplace.

Course contents

Regulatory framework

-Cogent: Italian Constitution, National Health Plan, Regional Health Plan (Emilia-Romagna), National Prevention Plan, Regional Prevention Plan (Emilia-Romagna), Local Implementation Plans.

-Volunteer: UNI EN ISO 19011/2018, UNI EN ISO 9001/2015, UNI EN ISO 14001/2015, UNI EN ISO 45001/2023.

-Business organization;

-Strategic objectives and organizational architectures;

-Fundamental elements of the organizational structure.

Process approach

-Process management and governance;

-The Deming Cycle;

-The measurement system;

-The FMEA-FMECA method.

Standards and norms for quality assurance management: UNI EN ISO 19011/2018 and UNI EN ISO 9001:2015

-The quality management system;

-Management responsibility;

-Resource management;

-The realization of the product or service;

-Measurements, analysis and continuous improvement.

Fundamentals for the transition from total quality to integrated quality aimed at competitive advantage:

-creation of a standard model for the integration of quality, environment and safety management systems.

Corporate governance of the Public Health Departments in the Local Health Units (Emilia-Romagna)

-Budget negotiation processes;

-Planning processes and implementation of prevention activities, with particular attention to those of an inspection type;

-The regional accreditation model.

Corporate governance of the Regional Prevention Plan (Emilia-Romagna)

-Company policy;

-Control room;

-Interfaces and communication;

-Intersectoral agreements with third sector entities;

-Transversal actions and program specifications;

-Business commitment and budget process;

-Local monitoring of the implementation of the plan and reporting of the activity carried out;

Teaching methods

Frontal and interactive lessons, supplementary and remedial activities on topics covered, analysis and in-depth analysis of real cases.

Assessment methods

The learning assessment will focus on an oral test with an open question on the topics covered in class, as well as the presentation and discussion of a project work on a topic of prevention or health promotion or health education inspired by the holistic One Health vision.
