Course contents
1. The fragility of the elderly.
Problems occurring in the rehabilitation of geriatric patients: cognitive impairment, comorbidities.
2. The rehabilitation project and program in the elderly patient. Multidisciplinary evaluation in geriatrics.
3. Immobilization syndrome in the elderly.
4. Falls in the elderly: risk factors (assessment), prevention and rehabilitation.
5. Adapted Physical Activity
6. Restraint of the elderly patient
7. Evaluation and physiotherapeutic treatment in femur fracture in the elderly
8. Parkinson's disease: definition, evaluation of impairment, definition of rehabilitation objectives and individual and group rehabilitation proposals. Occupational therapy.
9. The project and program of the lower limb amputee patient. The clinical picture in the amputee patient: evaluation, definition of objectives in relation to age, indication for prosthesis, bandaging and care of the stump, rehabilitation and reintegration into daily life.
10. Osteoporosis
11. Inflammatory and mechanical pain
12. Rehabilitation aspects in the main rheumatic diseases: Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Connectivity, Fibromyalgia and low back pain.
Teaching methods
Lectures, working groups, clinical cases, bibliographic research.
In consideration of the type of activity and the teaching methods adopted, attendance of this training activity requires the prior participation of all students in Modules 1 and 2 of training on safety in places of study, [https://elearning-sicurezza.unibo .it/] in e-learning mode.
Assessment methods
Written test graded out of 30.
During the test, consultation of textbooks or notes is forbidden.
