Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student has knowledge of the main design, construction, analysis and measurement software currently on the market, knows the obtainable results and limitations and acquires the ability to use some of them

Course contents

Introduction to the design of an industrial product, Industrial design, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) techniques

Introduction to CAD, historical evolution of systems, basic functions

3D modeling in SolidWorks

Management of tolerances and roughness in CAD

2D drawing and drafting in SolidWorks

Assembly management in SolidWorks

Add-on modules to support design in SolidWorks
