Learning outcomes
The student of the Course of Construction of Urban and Metropolitan Roads will address the issues of transportation infrastructures in urban and metropolitan areas starting from the genesis of the road. Through the development of the road infrastructure the way modern roads are constructed will be discussed. A course section is related to road paving project in urban areas and to their maintenance. Among the modern urban solutions the course offers the themes of tunnels and local public transport lines.

Teaching methods
Frontal and online lectures.
Design work in groups of 1-2-3 students: Design of a road intervention in urban areas.
The student will be able to make autonomous design choices corresponding to the most common and modern methods and technologies for the Urban and Metropolitan Road Construction.
Assessment methods
The assessment of the learning outcomes is made through a final exam, which ascertains the acquisition of the expected knowledge and skills by means of an oral exam. Online exams will be activated where required by possible restrictions.
