Learning outcomes
The workshop aims to provide students with soft skills that may prove useful in their future careers. The aim is to advance students' skills through practical exercises. The workshop explores the theme of corporate welfare and proposes a reflection based on the analysis of emblematic cases and simulations of the construction of territorial corporate welfare plans. At the end of the workshop, students will possess: - the sociological categories useful for understanding the transition from social responsibility to corporate citizenship; - knowledge of the elements that make up a corporate welfare package; - the tools for analysing current forms of corporate welfare implemented by private entities and third sector subjects.
Course contents
The workshop aims to familiarise students with the topic of corporate social responsibility, with particular reference to its internal dimension, i.e. corporate welfare.
In the first part of the workshop the theme of corporate social responsibility will be addressed (definitions, areas of intervention, tools) with reference to the national and international scientific debate.
In the second part, cultures and practices referring to corporate welfare experiences of organisations of different sectors and sizes will be analysed.
Being a workshop, students will be involved in the presentation and analysis of case studies and will be involved in the simulation of the construction of a corporate welfare plan.
