Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student has actively participated to a significant and documented number of lectures on the most recent advances in chemical and process engineering research, as well as industrial case studies, and placement workshops. The student, at the end of this course, has a clearer idea about the future directions of his/her professional career, based on the information gathered during the lectures and is able to perform and compile a bibliographic work.

Teaching methods
Seminars given by Industrial and Research exponents on various aspects of Chemical Engineering.
The attendance will be verified.
Assessment methods
The student must prepare a written report about the seminars he/she has attended, performing an individual and detailed bibliographic review about one of the topics discussed in the seminars .
The final report should be between 5000 and 10000 words, it may include figures or tables, and it have to cite at least 10 important pubblications.
The report should include :
- a clear introduction to the topic which mentions to the key aspects and problems
- an explanation of the current state of the art on the process/technology/material/system/problem selected
- a critical discussion/comparison of the various aspects illustrated above
- Brief personal conclusions.
The report should be sent in pdf format (one file only) by email
Proof of attendance to a significant (10-15) number of seminars will also be required.
