Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student: - knows the fundamental dynamics of economic activity; - He knows the role of various actors of the sport economy; - He knows the role of institutional actors and the economy of the sport setting.

Course contents

The goal of the course is to apply the main economic reasoning patterns to sport activity in a micro and macro approach. In the first part we will provide the theoretical basis that will be essential in order to read the mechanisms that regulate sport economy in the short and long term. In the second part special attention will be given  to the process of economic globalization of the sport, to the different operating models found in the various geographical areas, the economic impact of major sporting events.
