Learning outcomes
Students are capable of applying optimization in digital radiology and image analysis. Students are capable of understanding detailed information supported with evidence and of making decisions on apporpriacy and allocative efficency of resource.
Course contents
The course aims at providing the student the fundamentals of RIS-PACS Information Systems, workflows, functions of RIS-PACS Tsrm System Administrator and related regulations. It consists of four modules:
◾Defining and understanding the integrated RIS-PACS system
◾Defining and analysing a Workflow
◾The RIS-PACS Tsrm System Administrator
◾An outline of the regulations for use of digital data.
Syllabus
◾Structure and functioning of the integrated RIS-PACS system
◾Workflows and their use for daily practice.
◾Features and functions of the RIS-PACS Tsrm System Administrator
◾An outline of the aims and contents of the Digital Administration Code
◾Aims and contents of the guidelines for dematerialization of clinical documents in diagnostic imaging – law and praxis.

Assessment methods
The exam is done through a final exam that ensures the acquisition of knowledge and skills expected by conducting a written test which provides 4 open-ended questions on topics related to the main objectives of the course. The partial rating for each module will be mediated with the partial marks obtained in the other modules of the course.
