Learning outcomes
The student knows the basic strategies of language mediation and will be able to use them in basic communication situations.
Course contents
In this Mediazione module the basis of linguistic mediation will be taught, through the use of simulations of interpreter-mediated exchanges between English native speakers and Italian native speakers in daily contexts (restaurant, hotel accommodation, clothes, travel and transport). This course will also introduce the practice of sight translation both from and into English.
Teaching methods
Each topic will be introduced with a presentation and the students will be actively involved in role play simulations and sight translation exercises.
Assessment methods
This module will be assessed through the active involvement of a student in the mediation of a bilingual exchange and a sight translation test. Students' skills will also be tested during the semester.

and it will be regularly updated.
