Learning outcomes
During the course students will receive a basic knowledge of the history of romance medieval languages and literatures, with especial consideration of old Provencallyrics and the Poetry of the Sicilian School.
Course contents
The syllabus consists in the following three Parts:
(A)TheOrigins of the European Lyrics.
(B) Outline of old Provencal.
(C)Troubadours' poems translated by the poets of the Sicilian School.
As regards the 6 (5)cfu course, the syllabus concerns only Part A. Students coming from abroad or unable to attend can agree upon another syllabus with the teacher.
