Learning outcomes


At the end of the course the student can apply the basics of the use of epigraphical sources in the historical analysis of the ancient world. He knows work's tools alsoin a digital environment for the study of epigraphy, for cataloging and the development of epigraphic documents. The student can read, comment and use critically epigraphic sources, he knows the problems of communication in the Roman civilization and the significance of the epigraphic heritage. He knows, at a basic level, the private and public institutions of the Roman world, the institutionaloperation of society and the Roman political system. The student can use critically the sources that allow the reconstruction and the study. He cantalk about principal key issues using the specific disciplineterminology.
