Learning outcomes

Knowledge on the structure and function of biomolecules, main metabolic pathways and molecular mechanisms at the base of enzyme activity.

Course contents

Molecules and macromolecules (Aminoacids and proteins, Carbohydrates, Lipids, Nucleotides and coenzymes), Enzyme Kinetics, Oxygen transport mechanisms, Metabolism of carbohydrates, Energy metabolism, Photosynthesis, Fat metabolism, Nitrogen metabolism, Synthesis and degradation of proteins.
