Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students will be provided the basic elements of social work, with particular attention to cultural, historical, theoretical and methodological aspects. Students will have methodological skills about social work, and they also will be able to implement networks and analyze the methodological structure which is the base of social actions. Moreover, they  will be able to  implement their basic knowledge about the organization of social service.

Course contents

History of Italian Social Service: the most important steps of professional social worker, in relation to welfare evolution. Comparative analysis with other European contexts.  

The value system in the Social Work.

Method and methodology in the Social Work: working with people, working in and with a group, working in the community.

Project and evaluation in the Social Work.
