Learning outcomes
The course aims to give students the basic issues regarding to the methodology of business management and a knowledge about the organizational problem with a theoretical and applicative approaches that allow the students , also in connection with the other disciplines, to apply the basic tool of organizational analysis of business structures and processes.
Course contents
Theory
- The evolution of organizational theories from scientific management to Net organization.
- The organizational structures and the organizational principles.
- Business dynamics as renewal system.
- Analysis of procedure: operations, processes, functions and activities. Workflow management. Management by objectives and by process.
Practice
- Main organizations sectors and functions: Accounting, Production, Marketing, Logistics, Human Resources, Finance, Research & Development and information system.
- The development of organizational structure in New Economy. The new form of B2B, E-Economy and the simulation of enterprises in E-Business.
- New experiences in business creation with ICT
- Project management and team organization
These topics will be deepened with exercitations and case study during the lectures. Also planned seminars to explain the business reality
