Preface: Sanitary Environmental Engineering: water, air, solid waste

Water: Cicles and balance in natural and waste water. White and black waters. First rain water; storm water. Drainage pipes for separate scheme, and for mixed waters scheme. Industrial and domestic water supply. Hygien Municipal Regulation. Water outfall discipline. Flowrate and characteristics of domestic and industrial wastewater. Treatability in order to use. Septic tanks and Imhoff tanks design. The project of a full-scale domestic wastewater treatment plant. Choice and ubication. Raw and fine screens. Sand removal. Primary sedimentation. Biodegradability and biological phases for secundary treatment. Secundary sedimentation. Active sludge plants upgrading to obtain phosphorous and nitrogen removal..Wastewater disinfection. Treatment and disposal of sludge. Natural system design for wastewater treatment or finishing. Biological ponds. FWS and SFS phytotreatment. “On site” treatment for domestic wastewater comig from little insediaments. Building and managing costs. Functional collaudation. Solid waste: Merceologic and quantitative characteristics for domestic and industrial solid waste.Treatment of organic fraction, inert fraction, combustible fraction.
