Abstract

Digital technologies fundamentally affect CE. Yet, despite their benefits and increased uptake there are still disparities in digitalisation capacities of SMEs in manufacturing sector, public authorities, and academia in Western vs Eastern countries - incl. market, organisational and technological challenges and lack of capacities for digital transformation (esp.in public entities). Complexity of digital transformation may also pose health risks to employees from 55+ age group and result in digital stress or even lead to burnout. Therefore, TN approach is vital to overcome existing regional disparities by jointly developing solution and measures facilitating digitalisation and averting negative health aspects connected within it. Digi-B-Well project aims to increase competences of CE manufacturing SMEs, public authorities and academia for their digital-era-fit management and operation, digital transformation by upskilling leaders with soft and hard skills, their employees with digital skills for their higher engagement , prevention of digital stress or even burnout and achievement of digital well-being. The project will design digital transformation solution for digital audit (self-assessment of digital maturity) & transformation (digital-era-fit management/operation models/infrastructure) upon testing in pilot actions, introduce digitalisation label but also TN digitalisation strategy and action plans enabling uptake into policy/daily practice. The results of the project will be the enhanced operational effectiveness of “triple helix” in digital transition, with focus on age sensitivity in manufacturing sector, improved competitiveness and service orientation, strong commitment of employees while maintaining work-life balance and prevention of their digital stress and burnout. Innovativeness rests in introduction of complex measures for digital transformation in CE, consideration of well-being of employees incl. age sensitivity, digital stress & possible burnout.
