Massimiliano Barbi is a Professor of Corporate Finance at the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna. He earned his PhD in Banking and Finance from the Catholic University of Milan in 2009. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London (2006-2007), and served as an Associate Lecturer of Risk Management at Leeds University Business School in 2010.
His research interests include financial risk management, corporate valuation and governance, entrepreneurial finance, and household finance. He has taught various introductory and intermediate courses in corporate finance, corporate valuation, and risk management. He has experience teaching graduate, MBA, and PhD-level courses on these topics. Additionally, he has collaborated as an expert consultant in corporate valuation.
