Short Bio

Researcher at the University of Bologna since 2017, he carries out his activities in the field of medieval archaeology. His research interests are focused in particular on material culture, on the transformations of cities and territory in the Mediterranean, the birth of castles in the Medieval Europe and the development of techniques and artisan productions. Currently he focuses his research on the theme of the long duration of rural settlements in the Mediterranean area, with excavations in Croatia, Central Italy, Albania and Sicily. Engaged in national and international research projects, he collaborates with various European Institutes. Author of numerous publications, he has received several awards and recognitions from prestigious Centres and Institutes, including the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Go to the Curriculum vitae
